Here at Abbotsford, we take pride in our use of vibrant colour and innovative designs, with the aim to liven up and complement any interior space.
Pure new wool is primarily used in Abbotsford fabrics, which is not only a natural, sustainable fibre but is also very durable and inherently fire resistant. This makes wool an excellent choice for furnishing fabrics, meeting the technical requirements of contract and leisure interiors.
Abbotsford continually try to improve and streamline all procedures, and operate a Quality Management System which meets the requirements of ISO 9001.
Company Background
Abbotsford was first established in the early 1970’s as a family run business.
The company moved to Galashiels in Scotland and became well known as a reputable and reliable supplier of high quality contract furnishing fabrics. Abbotsford serviced many prestigious company projects in the banking, airline, office, hotel and leisure industries.
Abbotsford was briefly remarketed under the banner of Seagreen fabrics until it was acquired 3 years ago by the family owned SIL group of companies based in Bradford in West Yorkshire – an area renowned for the highly skilled manufacture of woollen textiles.
Reviving the highly regarded name of Abbotsford, the SIL group provide allied services in the production process such as spinning, dyeing and finishing, which enables an excellent level of service and product.
